World Book Day

2nd March 2023

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 2nd March and we hope you'll join us as we come together to celebrate our World Book Day in school.

We will have many fun activities taking place throughout the day including:

  • Door Decorating

  • Early Years Parade

  • Dress Up as your Favourite Book Character

  • Sharing Assembly

  • Story Swap

  • Whole School Extreme Reading

We will be using World Book Day as a way to share our favourite books.  This year, we will be dressing up. We would like the children to use their costumes to share their favourite books and we encourage you to use things you already have at home.

At the end of the day, we will be hosting a book swap table. Please bring in any unwanted books throughout the week, which will then be left on the table at pick up, for you to help yourselves to!

Throughout the week, we will be hosting Reading Breakfast sessions. Thank you for those who have confirmed attendance. If the child you are visiting is in Pre-School and Reception, please arrive at your normal entrance (by the gate) and we will welcome you into the Early Years’ classroom. If you have a child in any other year group, please arrive, with your child, at the Main School Office entrance and we will welcome you into the hall.
