Beep Beep! Day - Pine Class

2nd November 2018
On Friday 2nd November we are lucky enough to have officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary coming into school to talk to us about road safety.
The main aim of the session is to help children start learning the road safety basics through fun activities, and to raise awareness among parents and the local community about protecting children on roads.
The key messages the children will come home with are:
  • they must hold hands with you always
  • traffic is dangerous and fast and they must never run into the road
  • red means stop, green means go in cars
  • they must stay safely buckled up in their child seat.
The session is run in conjunction with Brake a road safety charity, who provide support for families affected by road accidents as well as raising awareness about protecting children on roads.
To help support the charity, children can come to school on Friday wearing anything stripy for a donation of £1 towards the charity.
