Years 3 & 4 visit to Cambridge University Botanic Garden

28th April 2022

We are delighted to be able to inform you that Escher and Cezanne classes are planning to go on a trip to the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, on Thursday 28th April.

This trip ties-in with our science and geography topic, Rainforests Around the World, in the first half of the summer term. The trip will give the children a fantastic opportunity to experience an inspirational outdoor classroom; a place to develop knowledge, encourage creativity and bring learning to life. Each class will have a private guided tour around The Gardens as well as the opportunity to explore with their class teacher. Please do feel visit their website for more information -https://www.botanic.cam.ac.uk/

We do ask that parents please make a £10 contribution towards the cost of the trip (via SIMSPay360), or sadly we will not be able to go, by Friday 25th March. This covers the cost of entry as well as the coach to and from The Gardens.

All children will need to bring a packed lunch, suitable school uniform given weather conditions on the day and a water bottle. If your child is in receipt of a free school meal, please could you let us know as we can arrange for a packed lunch for the day.

We envisage that the trip will take place during school hours, traffic dependent, but further information will be provided closer to the time.
