Last nights disco proved that once all the mud is scraped off they do scrub up well.
As do the children! We danced the night away, only slightly intimated by the dance school children who knew routines for everything!
The busy day lead to a peaceful nights sleep. We woke to grey skies which drizzled for the first session of the day, but then dried up. Today’s physically and mentally challenging day started with the Challenge Course, Trapeze, Abseiling and Problem solving. The challenge course saw up clambering, crawling and climbing our way across a series of obstacles, many of which required teamwork to manage. We were so good at this we even did it blindfolded!
The Trapeze is perhaps the scariest activity we do. It isn’t that physically demanding but requires nerve and determination. We had to climb up a 37ft telegraph pole to stand on a small table at the top, then leap for the trapeze bar. What a lot of dare devils we have with us!!
The abseiling team had to face the uneasy sensation of leaning backwards off a tower, not a natural feeling, but once they had conquered this feeling the jumping down was worth it.
The problem solving saw our teams working together to accomplish tasks. Great team building exercises!
We headed to the shop for our souvenirs just before lunch and then got ready for our afternoon challenges. Jacobs Ladder, Trapeze, Challenge Course and Survivor are in store this afternoon. Teamwork is paramount in Jacobs Ladder, the team trying together to reach the top. Tonight holds the activity the adults have all been waiting for AEROBALL! A roaring, shrieking, laughing success from last year. I suppose the children might get a go too. I would just like to thank you all for taking the time to look at this webpage everyday and the children love to know you are keeping up with them all. The texts about the photos are particularly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Until tomorrow then!! |
