School Council Events ...School Council have had an excellent and VERY active and busy second half term. Fundraising efforts have been outstanding - just to recap: HAVE A HEART (Hospice Appeal) - raised £210.00 RED NOSE DAY - raised £327.97 JAPANESE DISASTER APPEAL - raised £290.66 THANK YOU to everyone who has helped, supported in any way and donated to these events. Last Updated (Wednesday, 06 April 2011 08:51) Save the Children Japanese Disaster FundTuesday 5th April 2011 Alistair Dixon and some children in Mrs Woodgate's Class were on BBC1 LOOK EAST proudly painting their posters. Friday 1st April 2011 School Council hosted a special Fundraising Day today in aid of the Japanese Disaster Appeal. We had a 'special' whole school assembly which Mrs Woodgate (our Japanese Class teacher) was involved with and we had some special guests visit us who helped raise our awareness to the plight in Japan. Every child in school took home some flags to colour in which will be displayed in school. Total raised: £290.66 which is being sent to SAVE THE CHILDREN. Last Updated (Wednesday, 06 April 2011 08:49) Red Nose DayFriday 18th March - FANTASTIC RED NOSE DAY - Lots of children came to school wearing Red Noses and 'Funny' Ears and made generous donations. The children took part in an Easter Colouring Competition and 1st and 2nd prizes were awarded in assembly. THANK YOU and WELL DONE to those who took part. One Year 6 pupil (Katie) raised a FANTASTIC amount on her own - £26.00 - by making and selling key rings and very generous parent supported the day by running a cake stall after school which increased our donation greatly. Total raised: 327.97 Last Updated (Monday, 04 April 2011 09:57) Have a Heart DayFriday 4th March 2011 We have had a 'Fab' day today - busy raising money for 'Have a Heart Charity Appeal'. The children have taken part in various sporting activities, worn their RED items proudly and raised an amazing amount of money which will be forwarded to the charity on their behalf.
