Read It Again

The Cambridgeshire Picture Book Award and our Whold School Picture Book Swap

This term we are taking part in 'Read It Again!' - The Cambridgeshire Picture Book Award.

We are among the thousands of children in local schools across the county who are reading, discussing and then voting for their favourite book from a shortlist of eight titles.

To promote this award and the reading of picture books, on Thursday 7th July 2011 we held a whole school picture book swap. Children from all age groups had a chance to mix across the school to share and enjoy picture books together.

The event was a big success and it was lovely to see reading for pleasure and cooperative learning in action.
