Save the Children Japanese Disaster Fund

Tuesday 5th April 2011

Alistair Dixon and some children in Mrs Woodgate's Class were on BBC1 LOOK EAST proudly painting their posters.

Friday 1st April 2011

School Council hosted a special Fundraising Day today in aid of the Japanese Disaster Appeal.

We had a 'special' whole school assembly which Mrs Woodgate (our Japanese Class teacher) was involved with and we had some special guests visit us who helped raise our awareness to the plight in Japan.

Every child in school took home some flags to colour in which will be displayed in school.

Total raised: £290.66 which is being sent to SAVE THE CHILDREN.

Red Nose Day

Friday 18th March - FANTASTIC RED NOSE DAY  - Lots of children came to school wearing Red Noses and 'Funny' Ears and made generous donations.

The children took part in an Easter Colouring Competition and 1st and 2nd prizes were awarded in assembly.  THANK YOU and WELL DONE to those who took part.

One Year 6 pupil (Katie) raised a FANTASTIC amount on her own - £26.00 - by making and selling key rings and very generous parent supported the day by running a cake stall after school which increased our donation greatly.

Total raised: 327.97
