Box Tops for Books

Following our great efforts at collecting Box Tops for Books tokens, I am pleased to report that we raised £28.40 to buy some new books for our school.

Thank you to everyone who bought countless boxes of Nestle cereals - I'm sure your kids loved you for it!!

I'll be returning the collection box back to the reception area by the fish tank later this week so that we can start collecting again in preparation for next year.

Grand Summer Draw

The children will bring home this week, tickets for our Grand Summer Draw which will take place at the Summer Fayre on Friday 1st July.  Each family has been given 5 books of tickets (total value £10) which we would ask you to sell to family, friends and colleagues.  There will be cash prizes of £100, £50 and £25 so quite an incentive to take part, together with many other prizes.

To help engender a little healthy competition we will be recording the number of ticket sales for each class on a graph with the class achieving the highest number receiving a prize after the summer fayre.  There will be a box in each class room for the children to return the ticket stubs and money, in an envelope please. which we will empty regularly.

Spare books will be available in the office for those of you that are able to sell more tickets, please go along to collect them, however, we appreciate not everyone will be able to sell their allocated quota so please, if you have tickets that you are unable to sell, return them to school at least two weeks before the final date (24th June) so we have the chance to pass them on to those that would like some more.

We would ask that children do not sell the tickets 'door to door', unless accompanied by an adult, and they should only be sold to anyone over the age of 16.

PTA School Disco

The first school disco of the year will be held on Friday 24th February 2012.
