School Governors

THE SCHOOL GOVERNORS

The full Governing Body meets at least twice per term and much of the work associated with the Governors' responsibilities is undertaken in one of four sub committees:

  • Curriculum
  • Finance
  • Personnel
  • Premises / Health & Safety

Governors also meet to discuss particular topics as and when the need arises and this year, for example, the policy for Family Holidays during term time, the new Performance Management Policy for Schools and developing an improved Safer Recruitment System have been discussed at length.

Governors are involved in a wide range of in school activities and attend a range of training programmes. Each Governor is allocated a link subject responsibility so that visits to the school are focussed and add to the School Development Plan.
